Welcome to the Florida Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics’ "The Future of Pediatric Practice 2016!"

This year’s conference will be bigger and better than ever - with more continuing education sessions, interactive workshops, more family activities, and more time to catch-up with friends and colleagues from around the state!

We will kick the conference off with a night of fun, food, music, dancing, and special character guests at the Family Fun Reception on Friday night. The evening will end with the Magic Kingdom’s spectacular firework display.

Saturday will bring a day full of learning and fun. Start your morning with breakfast and time to mingle with the conference exhibitors before heading into the morning’s continuing education sessions. After lunch, enjoy two interactive workshops where you will have the opportunity to interact with the presenters and your colleagues on issues facing pediatric practitioners. Wrap-up a day full of learning by browsing poster presentations from the top residents in Florida and the top medical students in the country. The conference activities will end just in time for you to meet up with your family and pick up your discounted Disney park tickets for the evening. And we haven’t forgotten your family! While you are learning in the afternoon workshops, your family members are invited to join FCAAP for a Superhero training event where there will be fun activities for all ages!

The last day of the conference will begin with a sunrise exercise session for all at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa beach. Following breakfast and several continuing education sessions you will not want to miss, the conference will end with the 2nd annual FCAAP Brain Bowl for pediatric residents. The residency team of All Children’s Hospital Johns Hopkins Medicine will defend their title as the Brain Bowl Champion against the other pediatric residency programs in the state. Cheer for your favorite team and test your own knowledge with this Jeopardy!-like contest before enjoying the afternoon at one of Disney’s parks or by the resort’s pool.
